AI Is Changing Real Estate. Experience Still Matters.

AI is changing real estate faster than ever before. Today, buyers and sellers have access to more information than at any point in history.

Within seconds, buyers can compare neighborhoods, estimate mortgage payments, analyze market trends, generate renovation ideas, and even ask artificial intelligence to recommend homes that fit their lifestyle. Sellers can instantly receive pricing estimates, marketing suggestions, and staging advice with the click of a button.

It’s remarkable technology—and it’s changing our industry in meaningful ways.

I welcome that change.

Artificial intelligence has become an invaluable tool behind the scenes of my business. It helps streamline research, uncover market insights more efficiently, and create more sophisticated marketing for my clients’ homes. As real estate continues to evolve, embracing innovation allows us to deliver an even higher level of service. In fact, Forbes recently described AI as a “creative co-pilot”, enabling professionals to automate routine tasks while allowing more time for higher-value work.

Yet despite these advances, one truth remains unchanged.

Real estate has never simply been about information.

It has always been about interpretation.

Data Is Everywhere. Wisdom Is Rare.

Today’s buyers rarely begin their search with an agent. Instead, they begin online.

They arrive armed with market statistics, automated valuations, neighborhood rankings, and often, pages of AI-generated research.

That preparation is valuable.

However, information alone doesn’t create confidence. As the National Association of REALTORS® notes in its guidance on artificial intelligence, AI is becoming increasingly valuable for market analysis, predictive insights, and improving the client experience. Even so, its greatest value comes when it’s paired with professional expertise, local market knowledge, and thoughtful judgment.

Ultimately, the difference between a successful transaction and an exceptional one comes down to understanding the story behind the data.

Why did one home command multiple offers while another, nearly identical property, remained on the market?

Why does one block consistently outperform another?

Which improvements genuinely add value, and which simply add expense?

No algorithm can fully answer those questions because every market—and every client—is unique.

The Human Side of Real Estate Has Never Been More Important

The North Shore has always been a market built on nuance.

Architecture matters.

School boundaries matter.

Lifestyle preferences matter.

Walkability matters.

Community character matters.

Generational buying patterns matter.

In reality, many of the factors that influence a home’s value cannot be measured by an algorithm alone.

Instead, they come from years of experience, thousands of conversations, and an intimate understanding of the communities we serve.

Technology can identify patterns.

Experience recognizes opportunity.

Luxury Service Is About Perspective

For those buying or selling at any price point—but particularly in the luxury market—the greatest value isn’t access to more information.

Rather, it’s having someone who knows which information matters most.

My role has never been to simply open doors or provide statistics.

Instead, it’s to provide perspective. I help clients recognize opportunities others may overlook, anticipate challenges before they arise, negotiate thoughtfully, and protect their interests through every stage of what is often one of life’s most significant financial and emotional decisions.

Artificial intelligence makes many parts of my work more efficient.

As a result, I spend less time gathering information and more time doing what technology cannot: listening carefully, advising strategically, and advocating wholeheartedly for the people who place their trust in me.

Looking Ahead

Innovation will continue to reshape the way homes are bought and sold, and that’s something to embrace—not fear.

The future of real estate isn’t human expertise or artificial intelligence.

It’s both.

The professionals who will provide the greatest value are those who know how to combine cutting-edge technology with experience, discretion, local knowledge, and genuine relationships.

Because while technology can answer almost any question…

It still can’t replace trusted judgment.

And in today’s market, that may be more valuable than ever.
